Comment from Martin Sonntag, CEO Oterra:
“Oterra has delivered a solid year with both strong organic revenue growth and a strong EBITDA b.s.i. growth of 38 percent driven by an exceptional execution from our global team. This proves the resilience of our business and the strength of our strategy. We have continued to invest heavily in our people, our capabilities and our global platform to ensure, we are ready for the further growth in our key markets. Those investments have positioned Oterra for sustained, profitable growth.
“Oterra was created in the assumption that demand for natural colors would increase as consumers turned to more natural ingredients. This has proved to be correct in many areas of the world. We saw a record-strong sales pipeline throughout the fiscal year, and this has continued.
“Several leading food companies in the US have already pledged to convert to natural colors following proposals by the Food and Drug Administration and Health and Human Services Department to phase out six of the most common synthetic colors by the end of 2026.
“We continue to invest to ensure the company is well equipped to ensure new collaborations with the US customers. In 2024/25, Oterra strengthened its existing US footprint with a new state-of-the art 155,000 sq ft headquarters in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin combining innovation and application labs with a new manufacturing and logistics facilities to meet the expected growth of natural colors in the country.
“This year is the 150th anniversary of our natural colors being introduced in the US, so it is set to be a significant year for us.
“We have continued to invest in both our business, our infrastructure and our people, including a strong, active leadership team that has played an important role in strengthening the company. Our good results for the year is due to the hard work of its employees to catch up and accelerate growth in the second half of the year.”
