Martin Sonntag appointed as new Chief Executive Officer to Oterra

Oterra, the world’s leading supplier of natural colors, today announces the appointment of Martin Sonntag as its new CEO as of 1 January 2024.

Currently a member of the Doehler executive leadership team, Martin has been instrumental in achieving significant growth of the Doehler business and strengthening the company’s position in the food and beverage ingredients market.

Previously Martin, inter alia, was with the Dow Chemical Company where he held technical, manufacturing, and commercial roles of increasing responsibility in a highly international setting. Prior to joining Doehler Martin worked at Ingredion, a US-listed ingredients supplier, where he was a member of the executive leadership team.

Martin is a German national, who holds a chemical engineering degree from Hamburg University. He will lead the company out of Oterra’s headquarters in Hørsholm, Denmark.
