Support from the ground up

Our work starts in the field laboratories, where we breed and grow the best plant varieties together with our growers and suppliers, often in collaboration with leading universities and research institutes.

From harvest to harvest, we monitor forecasts and stay close to our growers to help them improve their yields.

Taking natural colors to new heights

Our state-of-the-art R&D facility in Montpellier, France, lies in the heart of a dynamic food science hub. Surrounded by several world-renowned food science university programs, we have access to some of the brightest talents in the industry.

At our R&D center, food science talents expand the range of shades and the applications in which natural colors can be used, approve the quality of juice supply from new areas, and organize new additions to our extensive portfolio of patents. The center also conducts blue sky research to find new ways to make natural colors even easier and more accessible for our manufacturing customers – and ultimately for consumers.

Working for better standards

We offer our services to organizations in support of robust, high quality standards for the industry. We also speak on behalf of our customers in favor of aligning regulatory legislation around the world, making it less complicated to export. Examples of these bodies are NatCol and national food authorities.

Expertise for your application needs

Natural color ingredients have unique characteristics and properties that make them ideal for specific formulations and manufacturing processes. Our application labs work with R&D to test new compositions to expand their usability. They also test product stability in a wide variety of applications, so you know the products you trial have a high probability of success.

Our scientists can also share knowledge with your own R&D staff, help you with precise color matching and troubleshoot during your piloting and upscaling.

Award winning innovation

We continuously launch products that meet the evolving needs and opportunities of our customers, and are proud of our award-winning product technology.

This includes the industry's first vegetable specifically developed for its unique coloring properties. Our three-time award-winning, Hansen sweet potato™ produces bright red to pink shades that are more stable against low pH than other anthocyanins. And it’s a great plant-based alternative to carmine and synthetic reds.
